The Dow Jones industrial average, S&P 500 and Nasdaq have consistently climbed to new highs during the past four trading days.

This morning, U.S. stock futures are holding steady.

European markets are mostly positive in early trading.

Asian markets closed mixed.

The news today in “the real world”, for mainstream investors, is that Janet Yellen could give the markets some direction when she testifies before Congress for a second day, at 10 AM ET. Yesterday, she signaled that the next rate hike could come as early as March.

In my world, I’m going to simply keep the focus on which stocks are breaking out of our watch lists, as those are going to tell me what to do.

Speaking of.. It continues to be hectic around this office as we have had 7 buyable breakouts already this week in only 2 days.

Here is the updated trading criteria for those 7 breakouts showing our 1st SUPPORT and 2nd SUPPORT.

MONDAY

SYM PRICE BUY PRICE 1ST SUPPORT 2ND SUPPORT MAX LOSS GUIDE P/L %
AER $46.80 $46.81 $45.00 50 DMA $43.07 -0.02%

WAL $52.99 $51.29 50 DMA $47.00 $47.19 +3.31%

TUESDAY

SYM PRICE  BUY PRICE 1ST SUPPORT 2ND SUPPORT MAX LOSS GUIDE    P/L %
OCLR $10.87 $10.55 $9.82 50 DMA $9.71 +3.03%
CMA $72.03 $72.01 50 DMA N/A $66.25 +0.03%
LNC $72.13 $72.25 50 DMA $65.23 $66.47 -0.17%
BAC $24.06 $23.86 $23.19 50 DMA $21.95 +0.84%

I did remove ZION, RF, SIVB, SMTC, ASTE, and TCBI as these stocks continue trading further above their respective TRIGGER PRICE, yet the volume in each is not conforming a BUY signal. At this point, although these 6 stocks are still below their MAX BUY PRICE, they are still getting a little extended to be comfortably buyable for my taste.

I got to run my routine stock screens again early this morning, yet did not find any stocks which I felt were appropriate for any of our watch lists.

As we head into Wednesday morning’s trading, we have 6 stocks on our Technical SetUps WatchList and another 6 on our TrendLine SetUps WatchList. There continues to be 0 stocks which meet the strict criteria for the High-Ranked Leaders WatchList.

Of those 12 set-ups, I will be watching these 5 closely today as they looked the most poised to breakout/confirm BUY signals.

TSM, PRU, KEY, NDSN, and TMK

Along with dealing with a flurry of fresh breakouts, we are also in the process of implementing the many slated 2017 website improvements.

We now have a new watch list page with all 3 of our watch lists in one table that shows the trading criteria of each stock, such as the TRIGGER PRICE, TRIGGER VOLUME, MAX BUY PRICE, and the percentage the stock is from its TRIGGER PRICE (%FTP).

The columns are sortable, the tables are printable, and the list can be downloaded in several formats such as a spreadsheet or a file that can easily be imported into your trading charting/software.

Current Premium Members can access this new page and features here.

We will just keeping doing what we’ve been doing and keep getting what we’ve been getting out of this market.
