Yesterday, the Dow Jones climbed +1.8%, closing above 25,000 for the first time since December 7th. The S&P 500 ended up +1.6%, and the Nasdaq gained +2.2%.

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

“It had long since come to my attention that people of accomplishment rarely sat back and let things happen to them. They went out and happened to things.”

– Leonardo da Vinci

Investor’s optimism was fueled by the Federal Reserve’s decision to keep interest rates on hold because of risks to global growth.

Looking for a Like-Minded Professional Who Manages Money ?
   – James F. Taulman

One question that I am regularly asked is – “Can you recommend a professional who manages money using the same methodology which your services are based upon?”

Over the years, there has been just a handful of these professionals who have stood out from the rest, and who I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for professional guidance.

One of them is Jack Elvestrom and here’s why…

Stocks in Europe and Asia posted gains early Thursday.

Following the Fed move, the next cue for markets could be the outcome of trade talks later Thursday between China and the United States.

For earnings, 1-800-FLOWERS (FLWS), Baker Hughes (BHGE), Blackstone (BX), DowDuPont (DWDP), Ferrari (RACE), General Electric (GE), Hershey Foods (HSY), MasterCard (MA), Nokia (NOK), Raytheon (RTN), Sherwin-Williams (SHW), Sprint (S) and UPS (UPS) plan to release earnings before the open Thursday. Meanwhile, Amazon (AMZN), Haynes International (HAYN) and Yum China (YUMC) plan to release earnings after the close.

Regardless of market conditions, I am always preparing a watch list of high-ranked leaders which are building bullish technical bases.

I ran my routine stock screens this morning, yet did not find any new stocks to add to our watch lists.

We still have a total of 20 stocks which we will be watching for a potential breakout.

Of those… these have noteworthy action.

TTD – Nice gains yesterday of +4%, as shares cleared their TRIGGER PRICE, yet volume lagged. However, as we have seen, these lower-volume TrendLine BreakOuts have been working in this market.

FTNT – Nearly broke out yesterday. Has earnings next week.

NATI – Gap down and huge dip on earnings. Will keep it on WL for time being.

NOW – Breaks out with volume on earnings, yesterday. Confirms BUY signal by default. As we state, earnings breakouts can be more rewarding, yet are much higher risk and also more volatile.

GIB – Nice action yesterday, on earnings. Could breakout today.
